How do I sign up?

Signing up is the same process as signing in. On the signin page, select your institution or school from the dropdown. If your school uses single sign on (SSO), you will be redirected to sign in through your school's portal. Otherwise, a popup will display asking you to enter your school email. Once you do, an email will be sent to you with a link to sign in. If you don't have an account, you will be asked to enter your name and whether you are a student or professor.

How do I sign in?

What platforms can I access the app from?

You can access EngageWhiz from almost any smartphone, tablet, laptop or computer with a web browser.

Do I need an internet connection?

Yes, using the app requires an internet connection. We are continuously working on improving how the app works in areas with poor reception or low bandwidth. The app can function in classrooms with poor wifi or where bandwidth is an issue, but an active internet connection is needed.

Account

Where can I change my account information?

You can change your account information, such as your name in your account settings.

My english name is different from my name in my home language, which name should I put?

You should use the exact same firstname and lastname that is in your schools system, such as what's recorded in your schools learning management system (e.g. Blackboard or Canvas). So if your name in Blackboard is John Doe, you should use that name.

What email should I use?

You should use your school email. If your school assigned you an email, then you should use that email when signing up or signing in.

Payments

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept payments through Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover credit cards and debit cards. Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.

What company will show up on my payment statement?

EngageWhiz LLC will show up on your statement.

Where can I view a history of my payments?

You can view a log of your payments history through the payments page in the subscription center.

What currency do you accept payments in?

We currently only accept payments in U.S. Dollars (USD).

Subscriptions

Do I need to purchase a subscription for each class that uses EngageWhiz?

No! An EngageWhiz subscription gives you access to any and all courses that are using EngageWhiz during the period of your subscription. So if you have 4 courses using EngageWhiz, you still only pay for 1 subscription.

Where can I view the status of my subscriptions?

You can view information about your subscription, including payment history and more in your subscription settings.

Do professors or teaching assistants need a subscription?

If they are only enrolled in courses as a TA or professor, no. Professors and TA's can not participate as a student. If they wish to, they must purchase a subscription.

Is there tax?

All taxes, including sales tax, are included in the price. So if the listed price is $18, you only pay $18.
